Neiderman was born in 1940 in Brooklyn, New York. Raised in a Jewish family, he would later translate his experiences living in the tumultuous environment into his books. He graduated from State University of New York at Albany and began his career as an English and Creative writing teacher at Fallsburg High School. During his teaching years, he started writing novels. His first book was 'Pin,' published in 1981 which was later turned into a Canadian movie. He has written over 100 novels, including The Devil's Advocate, which was also turned into a famous movie. Beyond his own bibliography, Neiderman has ghostwritten for a number of authors, most notably, V.C. Andrews.
